This looks great! Thank you so much for putting it together. I have a quick logistical question. When it says day one, week one. When does that refer to? Is that Ash Wednesday? Is that the day after Ash Wednesday? Is that the first Sunday in Lent?
    Thanks!

Such a great question! Thank you! Day 1 refers to this Sunday, February 11th. On that day everyone signed up will receive the first video meditation in an email.

Can you tell me approximately how long the daily videos are?

Videos will typically run between 2 and 5 minutes.

    Hi,
We’re looking forward to being part of Meeting Jesus in John. Our Small Group network met last week to discuss how it will work with our format and we have questions about the videos:
    – Will they be daily or weekly?
    – How long will each video be?
    – Will it be more like a devotional/witness talk, or a teaching on the theme?
    – Will they be suitable for a mid-week gathering for those who don’t belong to a small group?
Thanks and May God continue to guide and bless you.

Apologies for the delay in responding. I somehow missed this comment. The videos will arrive daily via email during Lent, but you can access the weekly compilation videos at http://meetingjesusinjohn.org/video-preview. Each video runs between 2 and 5 minutes. The videos are short, thoughtful commentary by the Brothers. It won’t be so much teaching as thought provoking, and the videos along with the prayer journal activities are suitable for individual or group use, or any combination of the two. Hope this is helpful and apologies again for the delay to respond.

where do you sign up for the daily videos?

When you scroll all the way down on the first page – without clicking through – there are name and email fields to fill in to receive the emails. When you get to the video of the Presiding Bishop, you’ve scrolled too far!

I like the sound of this course; my one concern is regarding those (relatively few) who do not have access to a computer. Will they be able to read the text of the daily video talk, and if so, how?

      Hi John.

The prayer journals are self-sufficient. Once a participant has the journal, either by ordering through Amazon or printing the free pdf, they can lead themselves through the Lenten program. As in years past, the Brothers have videos that accompany the Lenten series and will also send out daily emails that include prayers and prompts.
If you are choosing to use this as a small group program, participants will need a prayer journal; facilitators will need access to the facilitation guide if they are new to facilitating and to the weekly curriculum guides. These guides will be available via pdf next week, but will need online access to download. Once downloaded, they are complete.
