Technology and social media are a huge part of almost every young adult’s life. Of course, this is both a blessing and a challenge.
Here are some technology recommendations for small groups made up of young adults:
- Have a phone policy. Your group might want to silence and stack your phones in the middle of the table, or you might encourage live tweeting. Neither is intrinsically better than the other, but the group should make the decision as a group so expectations are clear and enforceable.
- Be clear about confidentiality expectations. This can be another discussion you have with your group. What is allowed to go on social media? What is not?
- Stay in touch over the week. If you like, you could start a closed FB group or a GroupMe to discuss the content throughout the week.
